Summary Conclusion: The results of this study support the conclusion that all devices are able to functionally restore erectile capacity. Overall, however, we observed that the 2 transversely expanding penile prostheses (CX and Titan) performed better in the biomechanical test compared to the longitudinal and transversely expanding device (LGX). This should be considered as a guide during device selection for a patient to have a penile prosthesis.
Companies have produced penile prostheses that can expand transversely and longitudinally in order to eliminate the patient's concerns about penis size while deciding on Penile Prosthesis surgery. However that these penile-penis prostheses do not have any benefits such as lengthening the penis. In addition, prostheses that expand only transversely, such as Coloplast Titan Touch, differ from prostheses that expand transversely in terms of hardness is superior.
